After further investigation my first frame re-design will not work, will get ready body an mind on my re-design layout. Completely forgot about the Belt idlers bearing holders, they were hanging in mid air, will create a way to support.
After looking at the smooth rod order they did not have the exact sizes needed, ordered the closest size to what was needed. You will never believe what happened, the smooth rods ordered allow me to extend the frame to a rectangle 520mm X 480mm X 550mm Outside Dimensions. May need to modify the smooth rod end caps to allow for the additional 10mm smooth rod length. Guess it will all work out fine.

Still in a holding pattern!!!!!!!
Today is Sunday 22 May 2022 10:44 my package arrived and low an behold the end its torn mostly off stopped the Fedex Driver told him one smooth rod was missing. Now Have to wait again because of Fed Ex!! How in the world do you tear off the end of a package. After closely examining the package end. It appears to have sufficient amount of tape to securely hold.

Decided I have enough parts to start to build the lower assembly, better known as the Z Axis. Will have to pause after getting to the XY Axis as missing a Smooth rod.
I will now start 3D Printing smooth rod holders, lead screw holders. Will now be able to put put together more information on the measurements needed to assembly my frame design.
Oh forgot I want to test thru the steps will also need to 3D Print power supply, controller card and stepper motor holders. This should allow me to test the alignment of the lower assembly motion for a bind free travel and make final adjustments.

Too bad about FedEx. They are notorious for similar incidents and extra fees. UPS is bad for fees too. Best to try to stick with Purolator, DHL, and postal service where possible.

Yesterday I 3D Printed my first Hictop CoreXY parts model. However it was not much to look at almost everything went wrong.
1st layer adhesion failed in many spots. Walls of the smooth rod holder was under extruded in many locations. Supports did not want to release and tore chunks for the model while removing.
Infill did not overlap wall surfaces leaving gaps between.
This has to be one of my worst 3D Printed models.
The photo is not much better than the model, Paid a thousand dollars for a digital camera and can not take a photo in close proximity to my models.
Well going to examine what has happened to Prusa slicer profiles and reprint would like models to at lease look good.

Started 3D Printing my CoreXY models today, Using my three 3D printers.
Sure do need to find a better camera for Pur.

Printing is happening more slowly than anticipated.
My newest 3D Printer Pur is having problems with a slight layer shifting on the Y axis. This is being caused by bad linear bearing or bearings. Moving Y-Axis by hand is stiff in places this cause a jerking while 3D Printing an as such layer shifting.
Hold on maybe I need to adjust the stepper motor current on Pur or check for a bad stepper motor. However still 3D Printing parts on my older pair of printers when I have time.

I have run out of M5-8mm button head bolts and t-nuts. My order has not yet arrived. I 3D Printed the wrong smooth rod support holders meaning that needed to start from scratch and 3D Print the correct smooth rod supports. This means all assembly documentation on this sub-section will have to be re written.
I am getting close to a point where I can start releasing the modified assembly for all who are interested. It appears that while making some of my modifications this project is no longer 100% Hictop 3DP11/12 compatible. My new Bed is 310mm X 310mm X 3mm 24 volt and I will be using dual 24 volt power supplies.
Other than the new bed size most of the project remains Hictop 3DP11/12 compatible. Hoping my order arrives soon so can finish this project complete the documentation and post step by step assemble of this Hictop CoreXY.

Finally received my Gold filament along with remaining 200 M5 nuts, M5X8, M5x10 button head screws. Now it is time to start and finish my CoreXY - Hictop 3D Printer.
Last post I was assembling the Stepper motors, Z-Axis carriage. While testing the travel smoothness of the carriage found that the spacer was a few millimeters too thick.. I will backup correct the thickness of the lead screw spacer while adding lead screw lower bearing holder. When finished an getting this working smoothly, will correct my current document on building this modified CoreXY - Hictop
The first step which is the easiest if to assemble the basic Cube 520mm X 510mm X 440mm

Had a few problems during the Printing of left XY Linear bearing holder.
1st Blu was having fits, believe have printed with my first filament that had drawn moisture, it was my worst 3D Print ever.
Then Murphy stepped in an took control of my 3D Printers if it could go wrong it did, One by one my 3D Printers developed different problems. From moisture in the filament to a hot-end falling apart in mid print the problems kept plaguing me until I finally got this model printed to perfection. Now will print the Right XY Linear bearing holder. Hopefully I have beaten Murphy this time...
Spoke too soon could not get the supports to release from model will adjust and try again.

I do not use newer version of cura often enough tho it seems to slice better than Prusaslicer so this time I will use Cura 4.13.1
Well was better however need to adjust my Cura settings as was printing too fast a had a layer shifting issue on the top section of this model. Maybe it has been too long since a complete cleaning and lube, will do this routine maintenance on my 3D Printers then continue.
Note the layer shifting on top section of the model.
After cleaning the Next Print on Red went perfect. Still Have Extruding problems on Blu must be the PTFE coating inside extruder throat, why does it take me so long to check the Throat PTFE tube for deformities.
