A few days ago I took the plunge and purchased three SSD Drives for my obsolete computers.
Knew I would get a little better response, but never expected the common slicers that I have not been using to loaded in record time. Newer versions of Cura 3.6 and above loaded so fast that I could not believe the differences, these programs load fast enough now they are usable.
Before the Newer versions of Cura took so long to load I would start the program go into the other returning a few time before the program loaded. Now the program is loaded before I can get out of my computer room. This also included my Visual Studio Code firmware compiler.
Was looking into spending $1500.00 to buy a new computer now am re-thinking this, and an have ordered another 8GB stick of memory to give me a total 16GB on my 8 core computer.
I know this really does not have anything to do with slicers, though this is my main computer major source of use now days so placed it here.
