All users;
Found a RC Snowblower STP file on the internet 35mb this was the easy part. Found a way to change it into a much larger STL file 150mb.
Still have not found a way to get the individual parts from the STP or STL file.
I imported the STP file in FreeCad then exported a STL file though most likely did this incorrectly as not familiar with FreeCad.
Need help from the anyone who has an answer for me.

Yes, you can explode the compound or import the step with the appropriate options Preferences->Import-Export->ExpandCompoundShape.
Second User
Just to say on my system the STEP import option had 'Enable Compound Merge' set which means the whole STEP file comes in as a Single Compound.
Changed now I can see more information about model

OK I split the Step file only to find that will not be able to print this file until finishing upgrading my MPCNC to 3D Print.
