On unboxing, the Artillery Sidewinder X1 was very easy to set up. It was mostly prebuilt, so only a few screws to insert and tighten and it was ready to go.
As far as operation, the biggest problem was getting installed on a slicer. I found the 3D Nexus profiles and installed that in Cura and it was off to the races.
Prints are beautiful and fast, and love the large build volume.
I haven't had to do any upgrades, although I did print the drag chain for the bed cable for my own peace of mind. Many recommend printing support relief for the ribbon cables as well, although I have not bothered with that and it has been fine.
I would absolutely recommend this printer to anyone.
