On opening my kit, I was pleasantly surprised to see not only a bag of gummy bears, but the build manual was extremely detailed with descriptions and photos.
By following the build directions exactly as laid out, it took several hours to build, but I came out with a solid printer. The only issue with the instructions is they say the bearings don't need to be lubed yet, so I didn't. This resulted in a squeaking issue within a month. I have since disassembled the printer and properly greased the bearings, and that problem has not recurred. I would suggest packing them immediately with a lithium based grease.
Other than that one hicup, and I later had to replace a bed thermistor, which again had very detailed instruction, it has been a rock.
I definitely enjoy that I don't have to play with manual bed leveling knobs. The Y axis is solid, and the PINDA probe detects what it needs...simply set your z offset and you're good. I use the smooth sheet for PLA, and the textured sheet for PETG, and even better...the printer can store BOTH offsets...and more...
Print quality is excellent out of the gate with stock profiles on Prusa Slicer. Updating firmware is easy via USB and Prusa Slicer.
I've been so happy with this printer, I've ordered another...this time with MMU2S, so I look forward to trying that out.
