Since this is a thing:
I was at a local thrift store in Central PA and I found a "Kuman" 3D pen brand new in box....for $4.99 US. I have only fed a couple of inches of filament in to it so far, but maybe I will make a short video of it.

Look at me flexing the 3D pen unit.
Wow!
I use a pair of Needle Nose pliers pull the belt to the correct tension then push it into the belt holder. To ensure it does not slit I use a flat screw driver to push belt tightly into belt holder.
You can remove the belt flanged bearings tighten the belt more and push the belt /bearing assembly back into the right lead screw / belt holder, remember not the forget the spacers
An yes I know this is not as easy as it sounds

Great find, and so useful. Mine is a GeeeTech pen, and I use it when I have a multi piece model to glue together. I glue the model, then use the pen to fill any seams or blemishes a bit better.

It's funny that your reply seems out of context, but the belt on the Hictop is very loose. It's something that I will tighten using your suggestion. It almost seems that we think alike when it comes to mechanical FDM contrivances. I printed the web address on the scrap of PEI that I had left from cutting the sheet to Hictop size. That makes a prefect adhesion layer for the 3D pen. Aside from printing a small cube, I have never used this pen before.
I'm pleased to have a renewed interest in printing. It's been far too long.
