This may be a dumb question, but can you drop a configuration.h file from Marlin 1.9 to this version and it work? I really think I need to get that program that Clif was discussing that compares files.

I'm not 100% on this, but I don't think you can. I'm sure some of the changes in versions happen in the config file

You can not merge some code lines in Marlin versions configurations, they have changed the the Line context and variable names. Though you can see and easily determine in most cases what needs to be entered into the variations of line context.
I have most versions of marlin 1.x.x and 2.x.x and can update them to work with BL-touch like in the Pur Version. OR You can post your configurations and I can quickly change that version configuration to any other Marlin version you would like to try.
On a different note all moved internet working, back online full time to help,

Transferred my configuration from Marlin 2.0.9.2 to New Marlin 2.1.1 and compiled. A few days before I updated Visual Studio Code to the version 1.72.2 and after updating a check mark appeared in "Silent Build" see attached. I prefer to see the code during the build process, I unchecked the box.
