I have been using Cura15.04.6 for 3 year now. Then came Creality Slicer which I believe is Cura 15.04.6 or a very compatible version thereof.
I use them both with little to no changes in print quality.
The Reason is all my Cura 16.04.6 profiles load into Creality Slicer and operate as well in either slicer version. I have installed and used most version of Cura though I still use version 15.04.6 more than any other slicer.
I have downloaded most free Slicers that could be found and configuring all to the best of my ability in search of the best slicer.
so Why did I select these two slicers they were my first slicers and am more acquainted them than any other slicer, for there ease of operation.
I have tried to get my older version profiles into the newer version of Cura though they seem to function differently printing is somehow off..

PrusaSlicer is based on Slic3r. Also may want to look at SuperSlicer which is based on PrusaSlicer. IdeaMaker has also been very popular lately.

Got confused I am using Creality Slicer and Cura 15.04.6 not PrusaSlicer at this time. I had to reload Windows 10 and all programs because of of a corrupt window registry.
Most of the Slicers I had loaded before crash have not been re-loaded as of this post.
Updated Thread an post to reflect the correct information. most likely will reload the PrusaSlicer it appears that I still have a few configurations saved for the slicer.
