So I gave my nephew one of my MK3S for christmas and have replaced it with a MK4.
I have to say, my 1st impression is wow.
I built from the kit, did 1st time set up, and immediately started printing on the textured sheet. No 1st layer calibration needed.
The build plate does need to be cleaned with IPA a little more often than it did on my MK3S, but perfect 1st layer every time, hassle free.
Also, built in Prusa Connect is actually pretty good. Obviously not yet as feature rich as OctoPrint, but all the basic features are there and no Pi needed.

Wow !! This is great I am getting to the bottom of everything holding me back. An with time available will start painting walls an getting ready to start 3D Printing again. It has been so long may have to relearn how to setup settings to 3D Print. with other workloads it seems I never have time to do any of my hobbies anymore. though will get back into 3D Printing real soon now. An with any luck can rebuild my MPCNC, Still have the most expensive and hard to 3D print parts. though with space limitations will have to be a smaller unit.

It'll be great to see you set up again.
Found 1 issue with Prusa Connect over Octoprint. At the moment, to add a webcam, you can't do it natively by plugging into USB C. For webcam support, you either need to use an old mobile phone, or a webcam connected to a PC or laptop or a Pi. Seems like a huge thing to overlook, but I'm sure they'll get there in the end.

Cool... Actually I kind of like using my Raspberry Pi Octo Print DIY 3D Printer controller boxes. I only used them to view live streaming of my printing. My 3D Printers were in another room this way I could see my progress from anywhere.
OR
Still frame recording using Octolapse with Logitech webcams

I use Pi3B+ with octoprint and a cheap webcam for my MK3S and for my wife MK3S+, but wanted to try something without a Pi as it seems kind of silly to use Prusa Connect built into the printer and then still need a Pi just for the webcam.

It's got a way to go before it's really a full replacement for Octoprint, but a very good start. for my own purposes, it's only really missing the integrated camera and the AI (not sure what it's called now, but used to be called spaghetti detective)
