Today I would like to start a discussion about Panda Pi. This is a small computer / 3d printer controller system that is a Quad Core 64bit combination with six stepper drivers modules. The system is setup to work with Marlin 2.x.x in conjunction with Octoprint on a single Raspberry Pi Computer. Currently it is configured to work with Ender 3 and Ender 5 though they are so close in comparisons to my 3D printers.
One of the reasons for this discussion is that Rasperry Pi's will always be available whereas the controller for my 3D Printer is already obsoleted. This will force me to find a replacement on the event that one fails, and would like to get a head start finding a replacement controller.

Hadn't heard of this before. Looks interesting. Unfortunate that it doesn't include the Raspberry Pi.

It is a simple single board computer that includes an SSH of Browser firmware compiler. Everyone is saying to upgrade to a 32bit controller. This is a step forward with a 64bit quad core controller. With this github.com web page you can easily get started learning, an see if this is the way to the future for 64bit 3D Printing.
